How do you ship your product?  We currently ship via United States Postal Service - Priority Mail and Express. Also, United Parcel Service - Ground, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air Saver. Orders are filled on at least by the next business day after you place your order.

Do you sell or ship to Canada or Other Countries? We ship only to US addresses.We will ship to APO addresses, however please know that it may take much longer to reach you.

How long will it take to get my order? Generally we get orders out the door within 24 hours of receiving your order (on days the Post Office or UPS is open of course).

• The shipping method you chose will determine the shipping time:
• USPS Priority Mail - usually 1 to 3 business days from ship date.
• USPS Express Mail - usually 1 business day(s) from ship date.
• UPS Ground - usually 1 to 6 business days from ship date.

How Much Do I Need?

20 ounce container:  Our 20 ounce size of Shake-Away granules is appropriate for gardens, flowerbeds or landscaping areas of up to 1,000 square feet (20 by 50 feet for example) or a 600 foot perimeter for up to 6 weeks  (see "Frequency of Application" above). A 20 ounce container will provide up to 6 applications for a 1,000 square foot area when applied as directed. Keep in mind that Shake-Away should be applied 2 times a week for the first two weeks and once every other week thereafter. You will receive up to five feet of protection on each side of the granules when applied directly to the ground.

3  Pound sized container: Our 3 Pound size is appropriate for gardens, flowerbeds or landscaping areas of up to 2,500 square feet (20 by 75 feet for example) or a 1500 foot perimeter for up to 6 weeks (see "Frequency of Application" above). A 3 Pound container will provide up to 6 applications for a 2,500 square foot area when applied as directed

 

12 Pound sized container:  Our 12 Pound size is appropriate for areas of up to 10,000 square feet (50 by 200 feet for example) for up to 6 weeks (see "Frequency of Application" above). The 12 Pound container will provide up to 6 applications for a 10,000 square foot area when applied as directed.

 

Stocking Balls:
20 ounce container makes up to 20 stocking balls.
3 Pound container makes up to 48 stocking balls.
12 Pound container makes up to 192 stocking balls.

How Do I Apply Shake-Away? Please watch our short informative video below.

 

The Critter Repellent website mentions stocking balls, what are those? Shake-Away works great inside sections of nylon stockings. We call these “Stocking Balls”. Each 20 oz container of Shake-Away makes up to 20 “stocking balls” that can be “tossed” into place. To learn more please watch our short informative video below.

 

How long will the product last? Shake-Away's instructions say to apply the product twice in the first two weeks,and then once every two weeks after that. Applied directly to the ground the product will last 2-3 weeks. In order to break animal habits, the product must be applied more frequently in the beginning to send the message that the predator is marking his territory often.

Will Shake-Away make my cat or dog leave? No, Shake-Away is primarily useful in repelling wild animals with instinctive reactions. Our Domestic Cat product is used in specific spray and litter areas being used by cats. Use of the product in that situation will suggest to cats that a bigger more intimidating animal has taken over their litter area.

Does Shake-Away Work to Repel Dogs? Unfortunately Shake-Away does not work with canines. Because dogs are actually related to the predators themselves, the product usually just makes them curious about who the new guy is.

Will Shake-Away Repel Birds? No. Birds are not affected by odor based repellents.

Is Shake-Away harmful for my cat or dog? No, Shake-Away is 100% natural and organic. Even if your pet would happen to eat it (yuck!) it will not harm them.

Can humans smell the product when it is used? When used outdoors, humans can NOT smell the product.

If you stick you nose in the container, you definitely can smell the odor. Keep in mind that animals have a VERY sensitive sense of smell. Their olfactory glands are many times more sensitive than humans are. Scent and smell are one of their primary forms of communication. When used indoors in an area not normally "lived in" like an attic, deck, basement etc., you will not be able to smell the product in the rest of your home. However, in small closed-in places you will smell a sulfurous odor.

What does the product smell like? Predator urine has a strong sulphur like smell. However when spread on the ground, it is normally not detectable by humans.

If I need to get rid of more than one type of critter, do I need multiple products? You do not have to use multiple products if you have more than one type of troublesome critter. Use the product for the largest critter you are trying to repel for both (all).
